The singer Léo Ferré
Léo Ferré, born in Monaco on August 24, 1916 and died on July 14, 1993, was a French singer-songwriter, pianist, conductor and poet.
He produced more than forty original albums over a period of 46 years. Classically trained, he also conducted symphony orchestras on several occasions, both in public and on recordings. Léo Ferré is a self-proclaimed anarchist, and this current of thought greatly inspires his work.
The band Feu Chatterton!
Feu! Chatterton is a French rock and pop band from Paris. The band’s name is a juxtaposition of Feu! and Chatterton, in homage to the poet Thomas Chatterton.
The Pantheon
The Paris Pantheon. Its pediment bears the motto: ” Aux grands hommes, la Patrie reconnaissante “it is home to many famous personalities. Among those buried here are Voltaire, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Louis Braille, Sadi Carnot, Émile Zola, Jean Jaurès, Félix Éboué, Jean Moulin, Jean Monnet, Pierre et Marie Curie, André Malraux and Alexandre Dumas (admitted in 2002). Most of these are civilians, while military figures are honored in the Invalides military pantheon.
Located in the5th arrondissement of Paris, at the summit of Mont Sainte-Geneviève and in the heart of the Latin Quarter, this is one of the French nation’s most important memorial sites.
Feu Chatterton! concertat the Pantheon
On February 21, 2024, Resistance hero Missak Manouchian enters the Panthéon with his wife Mélinée. The song l’Affiche rouge, written by Aragon and set to music by Léo Ferré, is performed by Arthur Teboul, lead singer of Feu! Chatterton.
